WATCH OUT:What made 247Sports predicts Alabama football to win National Championship in 2027……..
Brad Crawford of 247Sports predicted the next 10 National Champions in college football, with the Crimson Tide securing the 2027 crown.
Can Kalen DeBoer lead Alabama football to the mountaintop? That’s the only question on the minds of Crimson Tide fans, and there’s plenty of doubt surrounding the current regime in Tuscaloosa after a disappointing 9-4 season in 2024.
More was expected, as it always is at Alabama. Falling short of a bid to the new 12-team College Football Playoff was a failure in year one for DeBoer at the Capstone. The pressure is building for his second year, and anything short of a playoff berth likely puts him squarely on the hot seat heading into 2026.
According to Brad Crawford of 247Sports, Alabama will win a National Championship under DeBoer, but Tide fans will have to be patient.
Crawford projected the next 10 national champions, with Alabama claiming the crown in 2027. Crawford’s prediction is that Alabama will defeat Michigan, meaning it’s likely a duel between 5-star quarterbacks Keelon Russell and Bryce Underwood, both of whom will be in their third seasons with their respective teams if they can resist the lure of the Transfer Portal.
Of course, any kind of forward thinking of college football rosters is foolish in this era. Roster turnover has never been more prevalent and it’s impossible to project what any team might look like a couple of years down the road. You have to have faith in coaches, and clearly Crawford has faith that DeBoer is going to get it done in Tuscaloosa.
In the same article, Alabama is projected to get back to the title game in 2032, but coming up just short against USC.
Would Alabama fans accept one title in a 10-year span? Will DeBoer still be the coach in 2032? Nick Saban led the Crimson Tide to six national titles in his 17 years. Before that, Alabama won a single national title between 1980-2008.
