Georgia Bulldogs transfer QB visiting Conference USA team

Former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Jaden Rashada, who previously played quarterback for Arizona State, is surveying his options in the NCAA transfer portal for the second time in his college career. Despite not finding a new team during the winter transfer window, reports from ESPN’s Pete Thamel indicate Rashada is scheduled to take an official visit to Western Kentucky this week.

A former four-star quarterback recruit, Rashada’s college career has been marked by transfers and change. He initially signed with Florida but ultimately joined Arizona State, with which he played four games in 2023 before transferring to Georgia in the spring of 2024. He never played a snap at UGA.

Rashada arrived at Georgia intent on competing for a starting job after Carson Beck left, but he never received a chance to prove himself. Gunner Stockton kept the second-string quarterback role behind Carson Beck and Rashada’s third-string role turned to the second-string spot for a brief moment in time. However, freshman Ryan Puglisi overtook Rashada’s spot as the back-up during bowl season after Carson Beck’s injury against Texas in the SEC championship.
