Wisconsin Badgers: 2026 In-State ATH Becomes Strong Zachary Taylor Replacement

The Wisconsin Badgers have unfortunately lost a commitment in the 2026 class, but now must compose themselves and find a replacement.

2026 three-star safety Zachary Taylor, a native of Texas, announced that after plenty of consideration, he would flip his commitment to the TCU Horned Frogs. Texas schools rarely allow in-state recruits to go without a fight, and following his commitment to the Badgers weeks ago the Horned Frogs ramped up the recruitment of Taylor.

With Taylor now gone, the Badgers will have to act quickly and try to land another commitment within the 2026 cycle before time runs out. Many players opt to lock-in commitments before the start of their senior year, which means the Badgers will likely only have a month to flip a current commitment or develop a relationship with a recruit and secure a pledge
