
Georgia football offensive lineman facing charges including felony possession of marijuana
A Georgia football offensive lineman was arrested on Wednesday, July 16, on three drug-related charges including felony possession or marijuana of more than 1 ounce.
Sophomore Jahzare Jackson was also charged with possession and use of drug-related objects, possession of marijuana less than an ounce and holding or supporting a wireless device with any part of his body. Those three charges are misdemeanors
According to an arrest warrant, Jackson was arrested at 9:31 p.m. at West Broad Street/Hawthorne Ave. in Athens. He was holding a cell phone while driving a 2017 Tesla.
Jackson possessed or had under his control a marijuana grinder, according to an affidavit for his arrest with the Magistrate Court of Athens-Clarke County.

The charges stem from an arrest shortly before midnight on July 16.
After a few hours in jail, the 21-year-old was released on a $5,000 bond.
