SEC football recruiting rankings: Georgia no longer No. 1
James Morgan
The Georgia Bulldogs added another linebacker to their strong class of 2026 with four-star Elijah Littlejohn’s commitment. Littlejohn flipped his commitment from Penn State to Georgia and visited the Bulldogs several times this fall.
Despite Littlejohn’s commitment, Alabama recently leapfrogged Georgia and now has the SEC’s top recruiting class. Georgia is second in the SEC in recruiting and No. 3 nationally. USC has the top recruiting class in America.
The SEC is home to five of the nation’s top 10 recruiting classes. Alabama (No. 2), Georgia (No. 3), Tennessee (No. 7), Texas A&M (No. 8) and Texas (No. 9) all have top 10 recruiting classes.
The SEC’s top recruiting classes have remained pretty stable over the course of the regular season despite all of the coach firings within the conference. LSU and Florida both have top-15 recruiting classes despite firing their respective coaches. Auburn’s recruiting class was already a disaster before firing Hugh Freeze. Now, Auburn doesn’t even have a top-10 class in the SEC. Arkansas is without a coach and has the SEC’s worst recruiting class.
With the early signing period (Dec. 3-5) approaching, we’re bound to see a few more shake ups. None would be bigger than five-star Georgia quarterback commitment Jared Curtis potentially flipping to Vanderbilt.
