Week 13 turned into a whirlwind, and the No. 15 Texas A&M Aggies got caught in Auburn’s storm. They ultimately lost 43-41 after four overtime periods on the road to fall to 5-2 in the SEC play, but luckily, they still have a chance to play for a conference title if they can get past No. 3 Texas next weekend.

As of right now, the way the Aggies have played over the past few weeks is looking bleak. With the injuries and new system on both sides of the ball, sometimes you need your guys to make a play. Most of the time, the blame can go to the coaching, but tonight, their mental errors were too much to overcome. The secondary had a rough night with both Will Lee III and Jaydon Hill leaving early, making them have to play less experienced, and it showed all night long.

For the offense, there was a ton of meat left on the bone, and the film from this game will pay dividends for Marcel Reed in the future. But when it came down to it, they missed opportunity after opportunity to put the Tigers way near the end of the game and could not. It was a classic game that showed where the Aggies still have holes they need to clean up over the next seven days, and Mike Elko is now getting ready for the biggest game at Kyle Field in the last few decades.
