The college football season largely revolves around teams’ ability to handle adversity and only one team completed the entire season without suffering a loss – the No. 1 Oregon Ducks (12-0).

Everyone else faced challenges and had to recover; otherwise, their season would have gone down the drain. One team that managed to bounce back was the No. 5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish. They experienced one of the worst losses of the season, falling at home to Northern Illinois 16-14, despite being a four-touchdown favorite in Week 2.

Notre Dame finished the season by winning 10 consecutive games with an average margin of 44.1 to 13.4. The Fighting Irish concluded their season with a 49-35 victory against their rival, the USC Trojans (6-6), on the road.

David Pollack discussed Notre Dame’s season on his YouTube channel, “David Pollack College Football,” expressing that he believes the Fighting Irish have the potential to win a national championship this season.

“I’m telling you, they can win it,” Pollack said. “Like, Notre Dame can win this thing.”
