BREAKING:Shocking as Kevin O’Connell, Vikings Agree To Multiyear Extension……

 

The Minnesota Vikings and Kevin O’Connell have agreed to a multiyear extension. O’Connell was set to enter the final season of his contract with the Vikings in 2025 and would have been one of the most coveted coaches in the open market next offseason. There were also multiple teams interested with coaching vacancies interested in trading for O’Connell.

O’Connell led the Vikings to a 14-3 record this season and is 34-17 in three seasons as the team’s coach. The Vikings are 0-2 in the playoffs under O’Connell.

“It is an absolute honor to continue leading the Minnesota Vikings,” O’Connell said in a statement. “Holding this prestigious position is something I never take for granted, and I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Wilf family for their unwavering belief in what we are building together. … I’m thrilled for the years ahead and will continue to give you everything I have as we pursue a Super Bowl for the state of Minnesota.”
