Angel Reese Breaks Silence After Chicago Sky Coach’s Enraged Walkout Following Loss
The Chicago Sky had a frustrating Friday night.
They suffered a disappointing defeat to the Washington Mystics (who were 1-12 before Friday) by a score of 83-81, and produced one of their overall worst performances of the year.
Chicago couldn’t find any cohesion on the court, and any good moments they had were offset by mind-boggling mistakes.
Angel Reese performed great in the loss. But, aside from Reese’s teammate Chennedy Carter, nobody else did enough to facilitate a win.
And Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon made her emotions very clear in the aftermath.
Weatherspoon was extremely heated during her postgame press conference, and stormed out in a rage after four minutes of questions.
While Weatherspoon was already irked in general after the loss, she was particularly set off after a reporter
questioned whether she had the right starting lineup in play for the Sky.
Friday’s frustration aside, Angel Reese is keen to turn the page on Saturday morning.
“new day. another day to get better & another opportunity to play the game we love. GEAUX SKY!” Reese wrote in an X post.
The Sky have a quick turnaround, as they face Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Sunday.
