Angel Reese shares atrocious behavior she’s seen from Caitlin Clark

Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever star rookies Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark are often mentioned in the same sentence. They competed in multiple games in college against one another and were in the same WNBA Draft class. Although rumors of a rivalry often swirl, Reese recently confirmed that she has no problem with Clark. However, she does have an issue with some “Clark fans.”

“Caitlin is an amazing player,” Reese said on her podcast, Unapologetically Angel. “And I’ve always thought she was an amazing player. We’ve been playing with each other since high school. So I think it’s really just the fans, her fans, the Iowa fans, now the Indiana fans that are… they ride for her. I respect that respectfully. But sometimes it’s very disrespectful.”

Clark and Reese have played against one another for a long time. They understand how each other plays and there seems to be mutual respect between them. Reese wanted to use her new podcast to shut down any rumors of tension between the rookies.

The Sky star then revealed some examples of unfortunate circumstances she has dealt with as a result of some fans.

“I think there’s a lot of racism when it comes to it,” Reese continued. “And I don’t believe she (Clark) stands on any of that. But when it comes to death threats… I’m talking about people coming down to my address, follow me home. It’s come down to that. Multiple occasions people have made AI pictures of me, like, naked, literally. They have sent it to my family members. My family members… are sending it to me, like, ‘are you naked on Instagram?’ It sucks to see that.”

It goes without saying, but no one should have to deal with such horrific actions. Reese has kept her composure well and has continued to play at a high level on the floor. Reese has also dealt with media pressure, but she’s been able to find success nonetheless.

Angel Reese playing well in WNBA

She is currently averaging just over 13 points and 13 rebounds per game. Reese is one of the best rookies in the WNBA and her basketball future is bright without question. She will likely continue to be mentioned alongside Clark throughout her WNBA career. Clark and Reese could compete for championships against one another for years to come.

Perhaps someday they will even consider joining forces in the WNBA. If that ever happens, the team in which they both play for would instantly see a massive boost in popularity. Will it ever happen? Only time will tell, but Reese made sure to double down on the fact that there is “no hate” between herself and Clark.

“But at the end of the day, it’s a game that we do both love. But there is no hate.”
