Kate Martin has quickly become one of the most wholesome players in the WNBA.

The former Iowa Hawkeye has captivated fans with her kind words and team-first attitude, which has made her a crucial component to the Las Vegas Aces’ locker room.

And although the Aces are struggling to win games at the moment, that didn’t keep Martin from making a young fan’s day during their most recent loss.

A YouTube video posted on Wednesday shows a young fan at the Aces’ most recent game, holding up a sign that asks Martin to play her in rock, paper, scissors.

The video then shows Martin seeing the sign during pregame. She then plays the kid in rock, paper, scissors from the Aces bench — and loses.

Fast forward to after the loss, and Martin approaches the fan and offers to sign her jersey.

In the video, Martin is also asked for her shoes.

“It’s the only pair I got right now,” she responds.

Even without giving away her shoes, this wholesome interaction is yet another reason why Martin has become so beloved.
