BREAKING:Donald Trump breaks his silence on the Phladelphia Eagles…….Read more

Donald Trump broke his silence this week about the Philadelphia Eagles visiting the White House following their Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

With conflicting reports about the team’s willingness to make the trip to visit the president through the past weekend — the latest reports indicate the team is, in fact, willing to go.

We haven’t yet (invited the Eagles) but we will be,” he said. “I thought it was a great performance by them. Absolutely they’ll be extended the invitation. They deserve to be down here. We hope to see ‘em.”

TMZ added that its sources withing the Eagles were “adamant no decision had been made,” about visiting. So, we will see if the team does end up going because it appears it will get the invite.

Trump, of course, picked the Chiefs to win the big game, and has a bad history with the Eagles dating back to their 2018 Super Bowl win when their planned trip to the White House was cancelled at the last minute.

The Philadelphia Eagles are unable to come to the White House with their full team to be celebrated tomorrow,” Trump said back then. “They disagree with their President because he insists they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country.

“The Eagles wanted to send a smaller delegation, but the 1,000 fans planning to attend the event deserve better,” he added. “These fans are still invited to the White House to be a part of a different type of ceremony – one that will honor our great country, pay tribute to the heroes who fight to protect it, and loudly and proudly play the National Anthem. I will be there at 3:00 p.m. with the United States Marine Band and the United States Army Chorus to celebrate America.”

It appears that things just might be different this time around.
