Breanna Stewart Reveals Her True Feelings On Diana Taurasi

Breanna Stewart and Diana Taurasi, both icons in women’s basketball, walked similar paths by playing for the UConn Huskies. Both athletes helped their college team achieve great success and win WNCAA titles. Upon transiting to the WNBA, both players continued to shine, capturing multiple championship and MVP honors between both of them.

Stewart and Taurasi will cross paths again, but this time as teammates during this summer for the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France. They have played together on Team USA before, winning gold medals in 2016 and 2020.

On Tuesday night, the two will face off as the Mercury host the Liberty in Arizona. In a pregame interview, Stewart spoke about her relationship with Taurasi, revealing her true feelings about her Team USA teammate.

“D and I have a great relationship. She’s someone I’ve always looked up to. One of the best to ever play the game. It’s an honor for me to get another opportunity to play with her at another Olympics. She just continues to raise the bar wherever she is,” Stewart said through Desert Wave Media.
