- Los Angeles Sparks. Cameron Brink carried off after knee injury! Is her Olympic dream over?
Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese showed her support for fellow rookie Cameron Brink of the LA Sparks after the latter suffered a knee injury during their game against the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday.
Brink had to be carried off the court to the locker room following her knee injury just minutes into the Sparks-Sun game.
Angel Reese took to X to express her concern and wish Brink a swift recovery.
“Prayers for my sweet girl! @cameronbrink22,” she wrote.
The incident occurred with the Sun leading 9-5 and 6:23 remaining in the first quarter. Cameron Brink was driving to the basket against Sun forward Brionna Jones when she stepped awkwardly and fell to the floor in pain.
“In-game injury update: Cameron Brink left the game in the 1st quarter, and will not return (knee),” the LA Sparks noted.
She immediately grabbed her left knee and struggled to stand, prompting the team staff to assist her off the court. The Sparks later confirmed Brink‘s knee injury, ruling her out for the remainder of the game, which the Sun won 79-70.
