From a high-society break-up to a “secret date”

As per the outlet, Sophie and Perry were last seen together at a high-society wedding in September, where they were spotted “bickering and arguing between feverish snogs.” Their relationship reportedly ended soon after. Within a week, Sophie and Chris were said to have gone on a “secret date.”

The timing drew attention not only because of Sophie’s recent break-up but also because Chris Martin himself had ended his eight-year on-and-off relationship with actress Dakota Johnson just a few months earlier, in June. The former couple, who were once engaged, reportedly parted ways over disagreements about their future, including wedding plans and differing views on having children.

Interestingly, Sophie Turner had been a long-time fan of Chris Martin’s music long before any romantic link was suggested. The Daily Mail resurfaced a video showing Turner’s ex-husband Joe Jonas surprising her with a birthday message from the Coldplay frontman.

 

In the clip, Joe can be heard saying, “I have someone who wants to say happy birthday,” while Sophie squeals, “It’s Chris Martin!”

Chris then appears in the recorded message, saying, “This is Chris from Coldplay, I wanted to say on behalf of me and the even more handsome members of our band, have the best day and I am sending you all my love and I hope you’re having the best time. Thanks for being awesome, bye.”

The 19-year age gap

At 48, Chris Martin has spent over two decades in the global spotlight, leading Coldplay since the early 2000s. He’s a father of two, shares a long history in the public eye, and has lived much of his adult life balancing fame and family.

Sophie Turner, 29, first gained worldwide attention for her role as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones. Since then, she’s built a solid acting career with projects like X-Men: Dark Phoenix and Do Revenge, while also navigating life after her divorce from Joe Jonas, with whom she shares two daughters.

Their reported relationship naturally draws attention for its 19-year age difference, bringing together two people at very different stages of life and career. However, these remain unconfirmed reports, as neither Chris nor Sophie has publicly addressed the speculation.
