Kendrick Lamar‘s GNX has reclaimed its place at the top of the Billboard 200, securing a third non-consecutive week as the No. 1 album in the U.S.
According to Billboard, the chart results arrived later than usual due to a close-cut race for the top spot. However, in the end, GNX beat out the competition (again) with 90,500 total units earned. Following behind is Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s$ome $exy $ongs 4 U, which now sits at No. 2 with 90,000 units sold this past week.
Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR debuted at No. 1 last month, marking Drake’s 14th chart-topping album and PND’s first. Despite the back-and-forth on the charts, Lamar’s GNXremains one of the most successful projects of 2024 and this year thus far, racking up 103,000,000 streams just this week.
Besides the 200 chart, Lamar is also dominating the Hot 100, with single “Luther” sitting at No. 1, and “Not Like Us” and “TV Off” holding the No. 3 and No. 4 spots, respectively.
Not far behind K. Dot is his former fellow TDE artist SZA, whosegroundbreaking 2022 album SOSremains in the top five at No. 4. The latter has spent 117 weeks on the 200 chart since its release. As for Drake’s fellow Canadian artist, The Weeknd, his Hurry Up Tomorrow album holds the No. 10 spot, after peaking at No. 1 its opening week in January.
Drake and Kendrick’s race for the number one spot follows an exchange of diss songs last year, which ultimately saw the Compton-native reign supreme, per public opinion. Following the success of his biggest diss, “Not Like Us,” Kendrick also performed the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show, where he delivered a medley of GNX bangers.
