Cardi B has been tapped by the team on Netflix’s popular series You to promote the trailer for the show’s fifth and final season.

On Sunday (March 9), the avid You fanshared a video teasing the twists to come in the trailer the following day.

“Hello, you,” Bardi said, impersonating the show’s main character, Joe Goldberg (played by Penn Badgley). “When I tell you – girl, I am shook! I cannot wait! And it’s like they got a little cute surprise. I cannot wait for you guys to see the trailer. Y’all gonna gag. Got me gagging!”

Check out both Cardi’s teaser and the new trailer below. The final season of You arrives on Netflix on April 24.

Back in 2021, Cardi B was ecstatic when Penn Badgley revealed he’s a big fan of hers, which soon led to the pair changing their Twitter avatars to each other’s pictures.

“I really appreciate people who have this second-nature relationship to [social media],” he’d said during his press run for season 3 of You. “When you do have something meaningful and substantive to post, then I think it really comes through and people appreciate it all the more.

“Cardi B is a great example of that,” he continued. “She has such an authentic relationship. To me, it’s this incredibly nuanced place to be and despite what many might judge as antics, I feel like she has an incredibly authentic relationship to that — and that’s why people like her so much.”

Weeks later, Cardi received a spooky giftfrom her new friend – a hat with a logo that read “Hello, You…” and a note signed by Badgley’s stalker/serial killer character, Joe Goldberg.

“My stalking and killing may make me a certified freak, seven days a week, but it also brought me to… you,” Badgley wrote in the note. “Cardi B, you have a way with social media. You’re meaningful. Substantive. I just like you. You’re authentic and nuanced…just as you are with your music.”

Badgley closed the letter saying he hopes to see Cardi “slaying” in her new hat while hoping she doesn’t disappear with it. Cardi carried on the joke by asking her fans on Twitter how Joe Goldberg was able to find the address to her new home.

Fans also started a Change.org petition to get Bardi on season four of the show, though it ultimately didn’t pan out.
