It’s unclear if Gomez was referring to Bieber, but fans believe that’s the case.

here’s no denying Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were one of the most prominent couples of the 2010s. It wasn’t always smooth sailing for the two, though, leading to several breaks throughout the years. Ultimately, they moved on completely in 2018 and haven’t looked back. Now, they are leading lives with new partners.

Gomez is with Benny Blanco, while Bieber just had a child with Hailey Bieber. While the Biebers deal with constant media harassment, Gomez and Blanco just released a new collaborative album that has fans thrilled. A couple of songs from “I Said I Love You First” has fans intrigued, though, as some believe Gomez directed some lyrics towards her ex, Justin.

The lyrics in question come on the songs “Young and Hotter Than Me” and “Don’t Wanna Cry“. The first is a piano ballad with the theme of unrequited love, while the latter is a more energetic track.

In “Young and Hotter Than Me”, Gomez waxes poetic about a partner she loves but feels hurt by for several reasons.

“But I hate myself more, For thinkin’ you were different, Wish I never loved you, We’re not gettin’ any younger, But your girlfriends seem to”

By the end of the song, Gomez is over the guy and calls him “someone else”. Then, on “Don’t Wanna Cry”, Gomez seems to be speaking more directly to Bieber. It could be about another ex, but fans are convinced it isn’t.

This comes in the midst of Bieber dealing with a firestorm of critics who are adamant he is losing himself to the world of drugs. He has mentioned possibly moving to another country with Hailey and their child. That may be the best move to get away from everything and everyone.
