Ohio State 5-star WR commit Chris Henry Jr. sets four official visits
Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei five-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. remains committed to Ohio State, but he’s set to see some other contenders in addition to the Buckeyes this summer.
Henry told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Tuesday night that he’s locked in four official visits. He’ll first see Miami (May 30), then hit USC (June 6) and Oregon (June 13) before rounding things out with Ohio State (June 20).
Committed to the Buckeyes since July 28, 2023, Henry has visited both Oregon and USC this year. The West coast schools are working tirelessly to flip the son of the late former NFL WR Chris Henry.
Ohio State promoted receivers coach Brian Hartline to offensive coordinator earlier this month. Henry told Fawcett that he was a major fan of the move as he remains pledged to the Big Ten program.
“I love this move,” Henry told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. “Coach Hartline knows how to develop receivers better than anyone, and now with him as OC I know he’s going to put us receivers in the best position to dominate for sure.”
The 6-foot-5, 195-pounder is currently one of four commits in Ohio State’s 2026 recruiting class. While flipping him away from the Buckeyes won’t be easy, other programs are getting the chance to leave a lasting impression this summer.
