First, Ohio State’s athletic director told Buckeye fans not to sell their College Football Playoff tickets to “rabid” Vols fans.
Now, StubHub reports that it is selling more tickets to Tennessee fans than to the Ohio State crowd.

Anticipation is high for the first-round playoff game between No. 9 Tennessee (10-2) and No. 8 Ohio State (10-2) at Ohio Stadium. Kickoff is at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21.

There is high demand to attend the playoff game, especially from Tennessee fans.
More tickets have been sold for the Tennessee and Ohio State matchup than any other first-round playoff game, according to StubHub.
No other game’s sales have even come close. Ticket sales for the Vols vs. Buckeyes game outpace the second-place contender, SMU at Penn State, by a whopping 35%.
StubHub says that buyers from Tennessee lead ticket purchases on the site, accounting for 37% of tickets sold. This compared to only 34% from Ohio.

“Though the inter-state matchup between Notre Dame and Indiana is leading sales on StubHub, it’s Tennessee at Ohio State that has sold the most tickets, with Vols fans purchasing more tickets than those from the home team,” said Adam Budelli, spokesperson for StubHub.
The same trend can be seen on SeatGeek: Tennessee fans are buying up the inventory.
According to SeatGeek, 42% of tickets resold on the platform have gone to Tennessee residents, while only 23% have gone to Ohioans.
