The B.C. Lions have released former NFL receiver Travis Fulgham following a slow start to the season.
The six-foot-two, 215-pound target made six receptions for 98 yards and one touchdown over three starts at field-side slotback this season. He was targeted 16 times by Vernon Adams Jr. after signing with the Lions this past off-season.
The 28-year-old was a sixth-round pick of the Detroit Lions in the 2019 NFL Draft and dressed for three games as a rookie before being waived during training camp in 2020.
Fulgham joined the Philadelphia Eagles following a brief stint with the Green Bay Packers and caught 38 passes for 538 yards and four touchdowns over 13 games during the 2020 season.
The native of Alexandria, Va. spent a portion of the 2021 season on the practice roster with the Eagles before stints with the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, and Packers.
Fulgham played 39 games at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. from 2015 to 2018 and made 128 catches for 2,044 yards and 18 touchdowns. He is one of only two Monarchs in history to be selected in the NFL draft.
The B.C. Lions (2-1) will host the Edmonton Elks (0-3) on Thursday, June 27 with kickoff slated for 10:00 p.m. EDT.
